little catch up

So…… where to start???

We obviously finished out india part of the journey. But just to catch you up if we haven’t spoken to you, we flew from northern india down to nearly the southern most tip and worked our way back up to Mumbai, following the coast most the way, pretty much just beaches.

Austria

We arrived to Austria with no ski or snowboard gear, so I had to fly back to England just to pick up our stuff…… what a mission!!!! The season started off great, I think it snowed the first month non stop. Epic powder days!!!

January 18^th I broke and dislocated my shoulder putting another early end to a season. Ended up head back to England for a month, then realized I would have to return to America  for a possible surgery. No surgery needed, so had a great month back at home with friends and family!! And I returned march 6^th to mayrhofen Austria to see out the season.

While I was home chris realized he was about to become illegal  in Europe.  So in order to beat the system he had to return back to the states for a week or 2 which then extended the amount of time he could spend in Europe. Nothing like leaving the alps for a quick 12 day visit to the Florida keys.  LUCKY!!!!

Charlie stayed fit throughout the whole winter, and danced and partied his ass off as the ice beer. The mascot for the ice bar an apre ski bar which we worked in. his only problem was his throat. Which was messed up all winter probably due to liquor intake.

Euro trip

A week after I returned to Austria Rhea and Courtney joined me in Mayrhofen (march 12^th). only for a quick night before jetting off to meet fass and the rest of the crew in Amsterdam for jam in the dam. What a great week we had, the most amazing pent house apartment, roof top terrace, mr. and miss. McCormic and the lovely miss pierce.  The music was amazing and the green was even better!!!! Moe, DSO, Mike gorden, lotus ……. What more could u want!!! Saw a crazy museum (electric lady land) run by some old school hippie from philly. More of a personal collection of day glow lights, neon lights, glowing rocks and crystal then a museum  but his enthusiasm and stories were great.

Me, fass, court and rhea then left the group and travelled to Marrakesh Morocco to meet reed and Katie. Again the accommodation was incredible stayed in  read in the main medina. Snaked charmers, small alleys, bargaining, tangine and cous cous somes it up. Took a trip to the atlas mountain range about an hour from the city, great views waterfalls and clean air nice break from the hectic city. Leaving Africa we ran into so problems trying to print our boarding pass (couldn’t print them) and since Ryan airs customer service is so could they only charged us 400$ to print off 4 boarding passes…. What a bargain!!

Next stop Barcelona. I think my favourite stop or city of the trip. Every ones says best city in Europe and it sure lived up to it!!!! We stayed next to gaudi’s master pieces, the architecture there is lie nothing ive seen before, Spain’s got it going on. We walked around ate great tapas and enjoyed the sights. One day we rented scooters and went all over the city. Up the mountain to the side of the city we were surprised by the Olympic village, which we had no idea was up there. Also some spectacular views over the city.

From Barcelona we flew over to Munich for a night, mainly to stop off at the hofbreh house to see oversized ugly women in corsets serving oversized beers. Short and sweet visit but nice to see the city. Last stop on the trip before Fass rhea court and I returned home to mayrhoen Austria only 2 hours from Munich.

Back in mayrhofnen we got in some serious partying and shedding  done, went for a couple hikes and just enjoyed the mountains. Couple days before the girls left my family mum dad and beth came out.  So we all got to spend some time together which was nice!! We took the family up to the hintertux a glacier at the end of the valley went ice caving and  enjoyed some breath taking views. The last night we attempted to get beth extremely drunk as the drinking ages s only 16. Glad she had her first legal drinks with us!! Then they left and it was pack to the 3 of us!!

Last week of Austria was great, Charlie had some visitors and we raged super hard at snowbombing a weeklong music festival in Mayrhofen. What a crazy blur of a week!!  We left Austria april 17^th for a week in England.

England

We arrived in England and went back to simons house. (simon is one of charlies friends from uni, half way into the snowboard season he realized he had enough cash to come to asia with us, so now we 1 more person to travel with woop woop!!)

We all went up to Nottingham for 2 days, then back to London for 2 days to visit old friends and see some sights, then we drov e down to Bournemouth to see some family, stone hendge and all that could stuff.  England has been great, very very busy and very very rainy. Think we are all now itching to go. So I sit here in the airport righting this wondering where our advetures will take us!!! Cant wait to gtet to Thailand and start backpacking again with Fass, Charlie, simon, aimme and mari.. here we go!!!!!!
